MARCH 2021 GRANT RECIPIENTS
Lendlease’s FutureSteps are excited to announce the grant recipients from the latest open grant round that took place in February and March 2021. The successful organisations are ones who work to empower vulnerable individuals and families by providing quality accommodation and support services to those experiencing housing stress and homelessness.
The grant recipients in this round are:
- Lighthouse Foundation (VIC): The Lighthouse Foundation provides young people experiencing homelessness with accommodation and therapeutic care. FutureSteps has provided a grant for the Lighthouse Foundation to use to convert an underutilised space at their existing property into a studio apartment to house a young person.
- Pathfinders Australia (NSW): Pathfinders is a not-for-profit that provides housing and education services to improve the wellbeing of children, youth and families. To increase their Supported Independent Living Program, Pathfinders purchased a motel located in Armidale NSW which will accommodate thirteen young people. FutureSteps has provided a grant which will be used to upgrade the motel, making it fit for purpose.
- Coast Shelter (NSW): Coast Shelter is a not-for-profit that provides accommodation and support programs for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. FutureSteps has provided a grant for Coast Shelter to use to covert a garage into a unit, to house women experiencing homelessness due to family violence.
